Chinese cuisine is one of the most popular types of cuisine around the globe. Chinese restaurants have opened everywhere, making it easier than ever for people to enjoy this popular type of cuisine. Chinese cuisines are a big part of Chinese culture, which consists of cuisines originated from all the different areas of China, and from Overseas Chinese that have settled down in other regions of the west. Although Chinese cuisine is now spread all over the world, there are still some regions where Chinese cuisine is more dominant. Here in this article, we will look at some of the more popular Chinese cuisines around the world.

Szechuan Chinese Cuisine: This Chinese cuisine originated in the largest province of China, Sichuan. Many of the Chinese chefs there started cooking for profit while still studying their recipes. In recent years, Szechuan's fame as a hot food destination has grown, and more chefs have been inspired to create dishes using ingredients grown in this area. Some of the most popular Szechuan Chinese cuisines use ingredients like buckwheat, ginger and garlic, which are found very frequently in Szechuan cuisine.

Hunan Chinese Cuisine: Also known as Northern Chinese cuisine, Hunan Chinese cuisine shares many of its characteristics with other regional cuisines from China. Hunan cuisine is characterized by strong spices and is often prepared in clay pots. Some of the most popular dishes of Hunan Chinese include noodles (particularly Chinese noodles with seafood), stir-fry, vegetables and salad. Hunan also has a strong regional identity, and there are many traditional dishes belonging to various regions. For example, the 'Dalaman snack' is actually a dish made from noodles and beef, although the name is different: in reality, it is made from noodles, spices and fish.

Fujian Chinese Cuisine: Fujian cuisine originated in Fujian province in eastern China, and from here it spread into several other areas. Fujian Chinese food features a variety of regional cuisines, such as seafood, stir-fried vegetable dishes, stir-fried tropical fruits, desserts and chicken-and-rice soup. Regional differences can be seen in the flavours of certain ingredients, such as ginger, chilli or soybean. Diverse flavours can be identified in dim sum or char siu.

Hunan Chinese Cuisine: This area is located in Eastern China and is one of the largest and richest countries in China. It has its own culture and is famous for its unique cooking styles. Many of its dishes are similar to those of Szechwan cooking, but they are not identical. Hunan Chinese cuisine is famous for being rich in flavour, but also for the use of numerous kinds of spices, like star anise, cinnamon and cloves. Pork is used in many soups, and the country is well known for its mushrooms and vegetables.

There are many more very popular Chinese dishes, which are now part of every Chinese person's diet. While these Chinese foods are easy to find and have become a staple diet, it is interesting to note that these popular Chinese dishes have an almost ancient history. Many of them trace their origins back to the pre-historic period, when the people who inhabited the earth used all types of natural resources available to them. We can see this in the techniques the Chinese used to prepare these natural resources, such as the duck egg, the wild croissant or the wild mushroom. Modern Chinese cuisine continues to evolve, just like the people who created it. To find the best Chinese restaurant, click here now!
